Meet the CCP Staff

Kat Bateman - Project Manager

I moved from Bristol to study at Durham University and graduated in Community and Youth Work. Then I did an internship of theology, youth and community work with Kings Church Durham before becoming the lead detached youth worker in Crook. In 2008 I became Project Manager of the Partnership.

My background includes scouting, playwork, and outdoor pursuits. I’m passionate about community and love the outdoors, running, climbing and circus skills.

Sandra Lawton

Sandra Lawton - Assistant Administrator

Hi, I’m Sandra Lawton, assistant administrator of the Crook Community Partnership. I’m originally from the Philippines in Southeast-Asia and married my husband Andrew after meeting him on a cruise ship over 11 years ago.

I started working at CCP in April 2008.Working in the CCP gives me the chance to know more about the community. I carry out administrative work help organise events for the community. I enjoy meeting different people and helping to meet their needs and making friends.

I have been working for the Crook Detached Youth Project for over a year now. I love working with the young people of the area of Crook.

I live in Bishop Auckland where I spend a lot of my spare time with my family and socialising with friends. I’m a hugely passionate supporter of Liverpool Football Club and also play football for a local team. Other popular interests in my life include music, film and literature.
